Having recorded record revenue in the last quarter of 2019, AMD unveiled the new embedded chip series Ryzen Embedded R1102G and R1305G. Both chips feature two Zen cores, AMD Radeon Vega 3 graphics, 1MB L2 cache, 4MB L3 cache, single channel or dual channel memory controller, and two 10 GbE ports.
The systems where AMD’s Ryzen Embedded R1102G and Ryzen Embedded R1305G chips will be used first will be Kontron and Red Oak UCFF computers supporting SimpleNUC’s scalable D3713-V / R Mini-ITX platform. Other systems will have to opt for Sapphire NP-FP5 and BP-FP5 motherboards based on AMD’s new Ryzen Embedded R1000 series APUs. The new platforms will be suitable for both commercial and personal computers.
