Apple has announced that it will provide 10 000 000 masks for healthcare workers in the statements it made in the periods we left behind. However, the company, which decided to increase this number in the process, offered a total of 20 million masks to the healthcare professionals. Not only is it supposed to provide healthcare workers with masks, Apple has announced that it has now started its work for face shields and will continue to support healthcare workers.
Explanations on the subject came from Apple CEO Tim Cook. Cook announced that they have started to produce face shields for healthcare workers in a post on Twitter. Adding his own video to his share on Twitter, Cook shared what his specially designed face visors look like with his followers.
Apple is committed to supporting the fight against COVID-19 worldwide. We have supplied more than 20 million masks through our supply chains. Our design, engineering, operations and packaging teams are also working with suppliers to design, manufacture and deliver face shields for healthcare workers.
