A novelty came from YouTube: ‘Dislike’ Numbers Will No Longer Be Displayed
An r10.net user stated that the 126 thousand dollars he sent to his Metamask wallet disappeared in a short time. While the user shared his own theory of why the event occurred, different theories were also put forward about the event.
With the rise of cryptocurrencies, especially in the last two years, their popularity has also increased. Of course, this popularity brought with it various methods of fraud and theft. To date, we have seen many historical frauds made from cryptocurrencies and theft of users’ money. Today, a new one has been added among them.
A user named ‘hizlimakale’, who shared on r10.net, described a theft incident on the crypto money wallet application Metamask. The user stated that he sent 126 thousand dollars from his Binance account to Metamask, which he has been using for about a year, and that the money arrived without any problems. But the money was no longer in his account after he went to sleep.
Seeing that all his money was lost, the user entered Bscscan and checked the transfers from his wallet. The user saw that the scammer performed many transactions on the account with a value of between $60 and $200. As for these transactions, he did not receive any notification via Metamask. The user claimed that only the Metamask account he used with Pancakeswap was hacked.
Stating that he has been in the IT industry for 14 years, the user said that he has not been infected with pirated software in any way, and that he did not log into fraudulent sites, and suggested that the situation may be due to security vulnerabilities in Pancakeswap or Metamask.
Other internet users who saw the incident also argued that it could be user error. Metamask allows your cryptocurrency wallet to connect to websites. He argued that the user who lost 126 thousand dollars may have connected the websites of the fraudsters who accidentally or unknowingly seized the crypto money wallets to his wallet, and finally, with the connection of the Wallet, the fraudsters also accessed the wallet and emptied it.
