Foreign Investment Rebounds, But Nervous Factories Miss Out
Don’t panic, the Xbox Series X mini fridge isn’t sold out forever.
Today’s Xbox Series X mini fridge sale went so fast that most people didn’t even see the buy button light up. Thankfully, the Xbox twitter account didn’t hesitate to tell people there would be more console-shaped coolers in December.
When Microsoft first announced the Xbox Series X, the reaction was mixed for two, its unique design. While some were excited for a new DVR-like console, others mocked the long box design. Specifically, it was likened to a black refrigerator. And while other companies were allowing the fun of the Internet to move one, Microsoft saw an opportunity and seized it.
While the $500 full-size refrigerator Microsoft made is a one-off, there will soon be a version for everyone. The Xbox Series X mini fridge is a genuine product Microsoft plans to sell, and you’ll soon be able to pre-order one for yourself.
Unlike the full-size Xbox Series X refrigerator, which is now impossible to obtain, the mini-fridge will be available for pre-order on Tuesday, October 19th from Target in the US and Canada. Microsoft hasn’t given an exact launch date for these smart refrigerators, but it’s expected to go on sale at some point in December.
This is a mini fridge similar to the Xbox Series X. It has glowing green lights topped with curved textures and all of the same button and port designs you see on the actual console. When you open the fridge, you get a classic Xbox green interior with enough room for 10 standard soda cans or 12 thinner energy drink-style cans – the door has two small shelves to hold a candy or two.
There are a couple of small green plastic shelves that can be removed, and of course the Xbox logo on the front glows white to match the console.
