New Dish-Boost Cell phone comes with one year of free 5G service
The $279 Celero5G will include 12 months of unlimited talk, text, and data – but high speeds may be limited.
Boost Mobile’s newest phone, the Celero5G, goes for $279 and will include unlimited talk, text, and data for 12 months if you pre-order it by the end of October. The phone will be available this fall.
This phone comes after Dish Network bought Boost Mobile, a prepaid phone provider from T-Mobile last year, and the mobile company is preparing to merge with Sprint. This move has made Dish a new player in mobile phones, and the Celero5G is one of its first big steps in the market.
The exact specs of the Celero5G have yet to be revealed, but Boost said in a press release that the phone will have a “6.52-inch display, quad cameras, 36 hours of battery life and 4GB RAM/ 64GB ROM memory”.
Years of unlimited data come with strings: Boost Mobile said data rates will drop after 35 gigabytes of data usage each month.
