Nokia To Launch An Affordable 5G Phone In 2020
HMD Global is working on a 5G connection-supported phone. The new Nokia phone, expected to meet consumers in 2020, will be powered by the Snapdragon 765 processor.
The former popularity of Nokia, based in Finland, has long since disappeared. The company was once one of the largest mobile phone manufacturers, but it is now standing out thanks to HMD Global. However, statements by HMD Global show that the company is working on an upcoming 5G technology smartphone. Nokia announced that some features of the phone, which is planned to be launched in 2020, has been unearthed.
According to HMD Global, Snapdragon 765 will be used in Nokia’s new smartphone. As a matter of fact, this processor is quite familiar because the Chinese technology giant Xiaomi prefers it. The upcoming phone will also feature the Pure PureDisplay Nokia feature recently released by Nokia. However, time will tell how much this screen will be welcomed by consumers.
According to HMD Global Product Officer Juho Sarvikas, Nokia’s new phone will have ZEISS lenses that support ultra-wide-angle video in 4K resolution. There will also be a fingerprint reader sensor located on the side of the phone and the camera will be equipped with 3 modules. But Nokia is not only ambitious in these new features.
Sarvikas says that this phone will feature an innovative thermal management feature, which means that the battery of this phone can go for 1 day even in 5G usage. This is a very important detail because the biggest problem of today’s smartphones is the battery and companies are working very hard to find a solution to the battery problem. HMD Global seems to overcome this problem in the new Nokia phone.
According to the statements made by Sarvikas, the main aim of the company in 2020 was to work on 5G technologies. Saying that they want to make 5G technology accessible, Sarvikas said that Qualcomm is well-prepared and that they are pleased to work with them. Sarvikas said the Snapdragon 765 is both affordable and suitable for a premium device.
The statements made by HMD Global show that the year 2020 may be moving. Although the brand value of Nokia is not as good as it used to be, the company can confuse consumers with a smart phone with high quality and stylish design. But we need to wait a while to see what the company is doing.
