OneCoin Founder’s Brother Faces Up To 90 Years In Prison

OneCoin’s founder Konstantin Ignatov’s brother reportedly reached an agreement with the prosecution. However, Ignatov could face up to 90 years in prison.

Konstantin Ignatov, who was a member of the Ministry of Justice, sat at the legal bargaining table with the Ministry of Justice and reached an agreement on 4 October.

Ignatov is also the brother of Ruja Ignatova, the key name of OneCoin, which has been sought everywhere but has been missing since 2017.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ignatov will not face further charges of his role in OneCoin, except for possible tax violations. However, he could face up to 90 years in prison. Ignatov will also be given a new identity under the witness protection program.

Ignatov, who claims he hasn’t seen his sister since he disappeared, told the court that her sister had bought a passport from her Bulgarian home to Vienna and Athens. Ignatov said he had hired a private detective to find him, and that he was afraid that someone close to his sister would hand him over to the FBI.
