Tens Of Thousands Of Stolen XRP Moves To Leading Stock Exchanges

Tens of thousands of XRPs stolen in the GateHub attack earlier this month are being moved to major stock exchanges.

Earlier this month, GateHub was attacked, stealing approximately $ 9.5 million, and 23 million XRPs. Some of the stolen XRPs were captured by ChangeNow, but some could not be recovered.

Some of these XRPs, which have been stolen in the last few days, have been transferred to different exchanges. On June 14, it was reported that the 999,900 XRP, worth about $ 400,000, had been moved to Binance.

Another part of the XRPs that were stolen yesterday moved to three different exchanges. 3000 XRP worth $ 1269 was sent to OKEx, one of the leading exchanges, and another 100,000 XRP worth $ 42,000 was sent to another major stock exchange, Bitfinex.

In addition, 40,000 XRPs were sent to DigiFinex in two separate transactions with a total value exceeding $ 17,000.

It is not known whether these crypto coins were sold or if the relevant accounts were confiscated by the stock exchanges. However, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has made a statement that they are aware of the transfer and are interested in the issue.

XRP, the third largest crypto currency with market capitalization approaching $ 2 billion, is currently trading at $ 0.42.
